Our first exhibiting artist Guy Mayman put on a show entitled ‘Bedwetters’ within the physical space, opening late November, 2019. "'Bedwetters' is a collection of diminutive sculptures produced through delicate manipulation of materials which occupy the realm of domestic detritus; newspaper, rusted metal, plastic bottles, old food. This activity is driven by a desire to find the hidden dark soul of these elements and the everyday life they are a part of. Digested and regurgitated, these forms coalesce as a queasy phantasmagoria. Part dystopian landscape, part chess set; they await deployment in the viewers imagination.” Guy Mayman studied at St Martin’s School of Art in London and De Ateliers in Amsterdam. He is obsessed with material culture, collecting and music.
